It is our future vision that dictates how we will live today. In the second half of Obadiah, God comforts suffering Judah by promising to judge Edom for their pride. God will keep His covenant with Israel, in that those who curse them will be cursed. Often the mercy of God in delaying judgment makes the evil of heart believe that God does not exist, but the faithful of God rest in God's certain promises for tomorrow. The humble look to the future with hope, joy and anticipation because they see beyond the perils of today.
