What can we learn about pride to keep from sin and ruin? In Obadiah, the prophet proclaims the coming judgment on Edom for their cruelty to their brother Jacob. Edom demonstrated that they were pleased with the ransack of the southern kingdom of Judah. What is it about the fallen human heart which rejoices in another's downfall? What is it that causes a nation to think that it is invulnerable to military or economic downturn? It is pride, and it won't go unpunished.
