Proverbs | Wisdom with Words (Part 2)

Summary: The book of Proverbs warns that foolish words bring disastrous consequences. Gossip, slander, flattery and mockery inflict damaging results while disguising themselves as something good. Wise words on the other hand have no need for such trickery. Words of honesty, graciousness and discretion bring about help and healing for all who hear them. We will never win the battle of words if our focus is merely on behavior. Words flow from the heart, and our only hope of changing how we talk is by resting completely in Christ and the new life we have in Him (Colossians 3:1-17).
