Lessons From the Apostle of Love (Part 1)

Pastor Chris Oliveri began a new series on the characteristics of spiritual love. He defined spiritual love as “sanctified affection expressed in sacrificial action.” From III John, he demonstrated that this kind of love is affectionate (not simply a duty), accurate (based on truth), and also deeply committed to prayer for others.  Ultimately, what draws believers together is their love for the truth of the gospel. The Apostle John’s letter was also challenging because he prayed that the physical health of its recipients would be an indicator their spiritual health.
