In this message, Pastor Rich Malcolm reexamines the Abrahamic, Mosaic, and Davidic covenants of the Old Testament and draws important distinctions between them. He shows how the Abrahamic Covenant was unconditional and eternal while the Mosaic Covenant was temporal and conditional. We learned that the Mosaic Law was to be a ‘tutor’ for the wayward hearts of Israel who rebelled against God’s authority. The Davidic Covenant was God’s promise to restore all things and reestablish His rule through a descendent of David.
Rich ultimately warned that ‘we live in a society of rebels’ and that ‘to be rebellious is very telling because a transformed heart really delights in submission’.
