Priorities in Prayer

On this Lord’s Day after the Thanksgiving holiday, Pastor Chris Oliveri blessed us with a message from one of Paul’s most instructive pastoral prayers. We learned that great prayers seek for a greater knowledge of God in others and seek that this knowledge would translate itself into fruitful consequences.

Additionally, we were challenged personally as Pastor Chris charged that we value material prosperity too greatly and this can be seen in our prayers, in the things we most often thank God for. In contrast, Paul’s joyous thanksgiving is for the uniquely spiritual bounty he has witnessed in the life of believers.
